My work encompasses performance, music and visual art practices, and text while intermixing perspectives and elements of performance art, body art, live art, installation art, drawing, video art and film, vocal art, music and choreography. My practice focuses on the body and explores it as subject and object, image and organism, site and sculptural device while conceptualizing it as a symbolic and metaphorical entity. The themes of my work are constructed or derived from the notions of embodiment, perception, memory, transformation, fluidity, fragility, liminality and intercorporeality while focusing on cultural disparity, emotional and physical / geographical borders, intimate boundaries, dislocation and exile as cultural, social, political and spatial elements of the environment that are reflected in the body and influence its corporeal and psychological perception and therefore the embodiment.
