18th September - 18th December, Thessaloniki
98weeks research project/space is an artists’ organization and a Project Space founded by Marwa Arsanios and Mirene Arsanios on the 31st of October 2007. It is conceived as a research project that shifts its attention to a new topic every 98 weeks. Focusing on artistic research, combining both theoretical and practical forms of inquiry, 98weeks’ projects take multiple forms such as workshops, community projects, seminars, reading groups, publications and exhibitions.
Throughout the Thessaloniki Biennale, 98weeks will run a Bazaar containing mainly publications. People are invited to browse, sell and agree on potential exchanges with the stall holder, focusing on publications, published material or publications you have selected for one reason or another, and that you would like to extend to a larger audience. This project is set in the framework of 98weeks’ research on historical publications and artists’ books, since April 2010. 98weeks will publish a selection of the talks and interventions on the A-Hilal and Shi’r publications, especially for the Thessaloniki Biennale.
