Pantelis Pantelopoulos

Born (1957) in Athens where he lives and works. He studied graphic arts, engraving and screen printing. Ηis artistic activity explores fields beyond the established contemporary art system. These fields include installations with visual action, projections, screen printing and painting. Recent group exhibitions: ANATHENA, DESTE Foundation (Athens, 2006)˙ Athens Video Art Festival (Athens, 2008)˙ KUNSTHALLE ATHENA (Athens, 2010, 2011).

 

Ki Sano Terra 

 

In a living city that is being constantly mutated and

transformed, the inhabitants  

are crashing on their impression and image

on its vibrating fabric,

attempting to establish their presence

and impose their standing beneath the agile

gaze of an observer looking from above,

the structured landscape pressing and transforming them,

reshaping the city itself from a place of their choosing

to a host of their adobe and survival.
